Baby Crow, 8x9in, colored pencil on Pastelmat paper
A baby crow…with a beak that looks too big for it, like the paws on a puppy that hasn’t grown into them yet. Floofy baby feathers that will turn sleek and shiny and dark. I’m still not 100% sure if this is a baby crow or baby raven…but loved every minute with it. Lately there have been huge flocks of crows swooping in and hanging out around our neighborhood. When they all take flight together or come in for landings it’s a spectacular, noisy party!
